This thing is DOA. Sure it will sell a couple million to the rabid fanboys but phones are handheld gaming future.

It's going to be square and online only would eliminate 40% of the gaming market in the U.S. It will have a drive.

What went wrong? Two things..........Resistance 2 was shit and nobody buys the sequel to shit, and online pass. My PSN friend list is 700 people strong and not one of us bought R3 because of the online pass.

online pass, locked content online pass, and "more accessible"....not very good examples you have there.

Peter Moore.......I'd like to meet him in the thunderdome for what he did to the dreamcast and 360 rrod fiasco.

This is a list of why I went from buying 44 new games a year to 3.

They don't sell games anymore. That model cratered. It's a monthly fee.

Lets also not forget what online pass has morphed into with COD and BF. You now have a monthly fee to access for NEW games.

Time to set sail for the piratebay....ARGGGHHHH!

Game looks retarded....her quips come from the same well as the random swearing in GoW. The animation is choppy, the modeling is bad, and the cliche emotes..........god the japanese have completely lost the ability to make a decent game.

Reviews coming in say gaming time is 8-9 hours. It is openworld like borderlands not open world like fallout.

@ksense

It does matter to you. Just like anything else united we stand, divided we fall. People thought shit like horse armor was reasonable and now look where we are at. DLC on the disc promoted before the game is even out. A game that cost you $60 in 2005-6 now costs you $100 for the same content. You don't care about online pass now, but what happens when playing a game online costs $10? Don't think it will happen? Look at the new CoD and BF community "features&q...

People coming in for a $1. Yeah let's wait until the price bounces up to normal price and they get a good feel for server load and lag. Online was the biggest POS I ever bought. Is it the future? Maybe....but not the near future..broadband speeds would need to be more uniform and bigger before this would receive widespread adoption.

Ummm......Resident Evil hasn't been scary since it became a twitch shooter.

5 companies I haven't bought a game from this generation.

If you don't already own one. Don't bother. This console generation is over in 2 years. Just keep saving and buy next gen.

4652d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

So it doesn't ALWAYS need to be on but you need to be on EVERY time you want to play the game....once it's booted up you no longer need to be connected to the internet.........I don't think Ubisoft gets it. Oh well I can't remember the last they made something worth ignoring their bullshit drm to buy.

Dead Island....Dead Rising the tropical vacation edition.

@sevir04

It has nothing to do with me not getting fucked. I'm looking out for the guy after me that doesn't have the money to afford brand new.

Quit think of just yourself. We already had the "me" generation (babyboomers) and look how fucked up the world is. We don't need a repeat.

They could have brought mods to the console games the same way unreal did. The problem is console gamers couldn't be bothered. Modding unreal on the ps3 was a huge flop. Console Gamers require too much hand holding for something like a modding to be prolific on their platform of choice.
